Parkinson’s Keynote & Motivational Speaker | Steve Yellen

Steve Yellen is an author, Parkinson’s advocate and motivational speaker who helps audiences see what is still possible after a Parkinson’s diagnosis.

Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2019, Steve chose to take a proactive approach to his diagnosis rather than allowing Parkinson’s to define what he could or could not do. That decision became the foundation for his book, Living Parkinson’s, a practical guide built around seven strategies for living an active and purposeful life with Parkinson’s.

Today, Steve speaks to Parkinson’s support groups, conferences, symposiums, fundraisers, exercise programs, community organizations and other audiences looking for an inspiring and practical perspective on living with Parkinson’s.

His presentations combine his personal experience with practical strategies that audiences can put into action. He speaks openly about exercise, goal-setting, self-efficacy, advocacy, research, maintaining a positive attitude and continuing to pursue the things that matter—even after a Parkinson’s diagnosis.

An Authentic Perspective on Living with Parkinson’s

Steve isn't a physician speaking about Parkinson's from a clinical perspective. He's a person living with Parkinson's who has spent years learning, exercising, advocating, participating in research and finding ways to continue doing the things he loves.

His journey has included triathlons, Spartan events, the Empire State Building Stair Climb, Parkinson’s advocacy and research participation and speaking at Parkinson’s fundraisers and symposiums.

That firsthand experience allows Steve to connect with audiences in a personal and relatable way while offering practical ideas they can take away from the presentation.
